The decorative board & batten shutter was developed to give you the look of a more expensive shutter without paying the price of a more expensive shutter.
The back of the shutter is open back. By using less material we are able to keep the cost down without sacrificing the looks of the product. It is mostly used for faux (fixed) shutter jobs, but it can be used as a operable shutter as well. The only time you see the back side of the shutter is when they are in the closed position for a storm.
They are available in 3" and 4" boards.

We offer decorative faux (fixed) shutters, operable shutters and Hurricane Impact Rated Shutters. We do installations. We can make shutter walls for privacy or bi-folding walls that fold out of your way!

This Board & Batten Shutter is a closed back shutter. It can be used as a faux (fixed) shutter or as an operable shutter. Extra battens or a "Z" batten can be added.

Louvered shutters can be installed as faux (fixed) shutters or operable shutters. To save a little money you can go with the optional Open Back Louver. We typically use the Open Back Louver on faux (fixed) shutters. They can be used on operable shutters as well. The other option on the louvers is a Closed Back Louver. The closed back looks the same as the front of the louvered shutter.
